Police are hoping to find the owner of several Indigenous-style masks and carvings so the items can be returned.

The masks and carvings were located as VicPD officers were assisting bylaw services on Pandora Avenue Thursday morning. Officers believe the items found in the 900-block were stolen.

Police said the pieces were handled in a culturally sensitive manner.

Anyone with information about the items or their owner is asked to call 250-995-7654 ext. 1.
