I just read an article about the lack of room in hospitals for patients. I also was put in a sunroom for four days after my knee replacement surgery at Royal Jubilee Hospital on Nov. 15, 2023.
After surgery, I had a single room. The next day they moved me into the sunroom. The bed didn't get plugged in for me to adjust, and I ended up having to sleep in very weird positions. There was no bathroom in the sunroom and that meant I had to manoeuvre myself out of the bed that wouldn't adjust without the plug in.
We need better health-care recovery. I am looking forward to a second knee replacement and can't wait to see where I get to lay my head, or not.
