Some cafes in B.C. are able to serve food wrapped for take-out such as salads, sandwiches, muffins, etc. suitable for a light lunch. These items can be eaten inside the cafe legally but customers are not required to show proof of COVID vaccination before doing so. Consequently, they are now popular hangouts for the COVID unvaccinated and a possible health risk to their fellow coffee drinkers.
