Saanich Mayor Dean Murdock and councillors are tasked with a challenging and divisive decision to make on June 26 regrading the People, Pets and Parks strategy. Their decision will affect current and future generation’s families, their pets and parks usage.

Will the mayor and councillors be able to step back from their own bias, the influencers, their affiliations to groups and supporters? Will they take the time to thoroughly review all the reports and documents, allowing them to fully understand the weaknesses and strength’s so they can challenge the report before them? It will take strong individuals to be fair.

I challenge them to govern the municipality with fairness without bias and agendas. Justice must be blind.
