Why would we need to borrow $150 million to build a new Saanich Operations Centre? Surely, replacing the present old buildings can be done for much less!
The District of Saanich council needs to explain and publish its ambitious plans, including a budget.
Council should not be in the business of real estate; it is not what they were elected for. We already have the burden of the massive provincial and federal debt.
The repaying of these billions will rest on the shoulders of our children and grandchildren.
