After absorbing the negative movie theatre experience that your guest columnist from Abbotsford portrayed in the Peninsula News Review this past week, I couldn't help but reflect on movie nights here at our local theatre in Sidney. Wow, what a contradiction!
From the owner's welcoming smile as we purchase our tickets to the movie's conclusion, we have never experienced anything that could be considered obnoxious behaviour. My wife and I (seniors, but maybe a bit still in denial) can watch a movie, share a regular popcorn and drink, enjoy an evening out, all for about $30. What a deal!
I highly recommend that we support this wonderful little theatre in our community and keep it up and running (and I'm sure it wouldn't break anyone to throw a toonie into the concession tip jar). And then, as we're always told, "Enjoy the show."
