LETTER: Victoria welcomes public input on OCP process

The letter “Victoria residents deserve a greater say on OCP” could make one think Victoria residents haven’t had any opportunity to provide input on Victoria’s official community plan (OCP) update.

Well, Victoria residents have been providing lots of input, for more than a year – and with more to come.

The city’s OCP Update page outlines the formal engagement process that city staff led: months of open houses, focus groups, online info sessions, survey, community meetings, and much more.

In addition to the formal process, residents have been inundating us with emails, phone calls, meetings, addresses to council. And they continue to do so. And we will hold a public hearing.
