Regarding the story on the local students travelling to Vimy Ridge as part of a 10-day educational journey. Some years ago, I was privileged enough to visit Vimy Ridge myself. What a truly moving and peaceful place it is, with the most amazing views and a glorious memorial to the thousands of brave Canadians who had given their lives in the name of freedom.
I am so happy that two of our young people are going there, and I do hope that Canada will continue to send as many young people as possible to this piece of Canada, which has been given to us by France. How I wish all Canadians could visit this memorial; it is a very special place.
