Re: Pavilion has checkered past, uncertain future (News, April 4)
This article pleads for suggestions of what might or should be done with a prominent feature in one of the most visited areas of Victoria. It should certainly be rehabilitated, at least as a covered picnic option, with appropriate supervision and upkeep for the future.
We were disappointed to learn it has no sewage or power connections; that does limit the feasibility for other uses.
However, if the suggestion of a picnic pavilion is not found feasible, please demolish the building and install a heritage marker which explains the history of that hill and permit some parking and observation benches for all visitors.
