This isn't a real 'Hockey Night in Canada' montage, but it's of course inspired by the magical music videos the CBC's wunder-editor Tim Thompson puts together every Saturday.
And it's made to celebrate the 60-plus years of HNIC, from the commentary of Bob Cole to the elegantly simple coverage from Canada's public broadcaster.
You don't have to love the CBC, and you may even hate it, but let's just take a moment to admit that it and its hockey broadcasts are a huge part of our history, our cultural heritage, and whatever hockey super-channel Rogers forms from now on will always be measured against it.

Clips from the CBC, NBC, NHL, the Vancouver Canucks, and YouTuber Janne Makkonen
Music: 'Devil Town' by Tony Lucca (made famous on NBC's Friday Night Lights)
