Just two weeks after bringing back their all-time leading scorer Alejandro Diaz on loan from Vancouver FC, Pacific FC (PFC) has struck again – this time adding three new signings, including a familiar face from their championship past.

Midfielder Matthew Baldisimo is returning to Langford, signing a contract through the remainder of the 2025 Canadian Premier League (CPL) season with an option for 2026.

Also joining PFC is centre-back Ahmad Mansour and defensive midfielder Roshawn Juhmi, both signed through 2025 with an option for 2026.

Baldisimo, 27, who has represented the Philippines internationally, was a key part of the Tridents’ midfield from the club’s inaugural 2019 season through August 2022.

Over that time, he made 66 appearances in all competitions, logging 4,072 minutes and completing 81 per cent of his passes during his tenure on Vancouver Island.

“We know Baldi very well,” said head coach James Merriman. “He’s an intelligent player with strong game understanding and versatility, able to play multiple positions with excellent technique. He will strengthen our squad and be an important piece as we head into the final stretch of the season.”

Baldisimo left PFC in 2022, first joining York United FC on loan before signing permanently.

His return adds another familiar name to the roster alongside former teammates Diaz, Marco Bustos, and Kadin Chung – all of whom have rejoined the club this year.

Mansour, 24, from Burlington, Ont., most recently played in the Oman Professional League’s first division with Sur Sports Club and in Lebanon with Nejmeh FC.

Juhmi, also 24, has spent the past six years in Portugal, most recently with SC Vista Alegre. The Innisfil, Ont., native is signing his first professional contract.

All three signings are eligible for selection pending medical clearance ahead of PFC's next match – a Salish Sea Derby against Vancouver FC on Sunday, Aug. 10, in Langley.

Pacific enters the derby sitting sixth in the CPL table, nine points back of the final playoff spot held by the Halifax Wanderers, with 11 matches remaining.

The Tridents come off a dramatic 1-0 win over Cavalry FC on Aug. 4, when Sean Young scored a stoppage-time winner to secure three points.

Young and Chung were named to the CPL team of the week for their performances in that win.
