Langford’s Pacific FC Tridents have signed a Canada Soccer’s men under-20 player to a two-year contract.

The Canadian Premier League announced the team had signed Christian Greco-Taylor, 19, on Monday (March 25). Greco-Taylor, a native of Calgary, will play left-back and has been a member of the Whitecaps Academy since 2019. In 2023, he made 21 appearances for the club’s MLS Next Pro side.

Player development manager Jamar Dixon said the team is thrilled to welcome Greco-Taylor and to see his growth.

“Christian is a young, left-footed left back with very high potential,” Dixon said. “He’s proven he is one of the top young Canadian players through his recent games with the Men’s U-20 Canadian National Team.”

Greco-Taylor has started the year strong as he came off the bench for Canada at the 2024 Concacaf Men’s Under-20 Championship Qualifiers in February.

The Tridents will kick off their 2024 campaign on April 13, hosting their coastal rival the Halifax Wanderers FC at Starlight Stadium.

Tickets go on sale March 29.
