For the first time ever at the Jr. All Native Tournament, Indigenous youth age six to 10 were invited to the competition.
The first game of the 10U co-ed division saw the home nation take on Gitwangak at Kelowna's Rutland Middle School the morning of Mar. 18.
Syilx 1 held the lead throughout the game, taking the win with a final of 26-17.
The Syilx 2 team plays their first match of the tournament later today, Mar. 18, also at Rutland Middle.
