PISE opens doors to future Olympics

Young athletes invited to weekend event that highlights becoming Canada's physical elite

Young athletes aged 15 to 22 will have an opportunity this weekend to not only see what it physically takes to be one of Canada’s sporting elite, but also to become one of those very athletes.

Canadian Sport Institute hosts an athlete identification camp Sunday (May 25) where young athletes can take part in physiological field testing and anthropometric tests to see how they stack up again national team standards.

Those who have exceptional test results may be contacted for further assessments or with an offer to enrol in one of CSI’s sport programs.

The podium search happens from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence (4371 Interurban Rd.).
