Four British Columbia towns have been named among the top fishing destinations outside the U.S. for 2024, according to a recent study by FishingBooker, a platform for booking fishing trips.
Sooke ranked 4th, Ucluelet 6th, Nanaimo 12th, and West Vancouver 16th out of 266 cities from countries, including Mexico, the Bahamas, and Costa Rica.
The study, based on over 40,000 trips, reviews, and reports from the past year assessed towns using criteria such as the number of available fishing charters, average review scores, and booking numbers. Each of the B.C. towns earned high marks in customer satisfaction, reflecting their popularity among anglers.
FishingBooker, which operates in over 2,200 locations worldwide, used data including the number of awarded guides and at least ten bookings made in the past year to compile the list.
