Victoria Grizzlies shut out in game 4, series against Surrey tied 2-2

It wasn’t the Victoria Grizzlies night as they fell 3-0 in game four of their best-of-seven second round playoff series against the Surrey Eagles on Tuesday.

After a scoreless 50 minutes, the Eagles broke through in the third period, scoring three goals in the final 10 minutes of the game.

The floodgates opened when Evan Brown’s third goal of the postseason opened the scoring at the 10:22 mark.

Surrey put the game away a few minutes later when Ante Zlomislic and Ryan Evenhuis scored 23 seconds part to make it 3-0. Zlomislic’s goal was shorthanded.

Grizzlies goaltender Oliver Auyeung-Ashton made 35 saves in the loss.

With Surrey’s win, the series is now tied 2-2. Game five is set to go on Thursday, April 25 at South Surrey Arena. Puck drop is at 7:15 p.m.

In the other Coastal Conference series, the Alberni Valley Bulldogs are up 3-0 on the Chilliwack Chiefs.
