Kira Wronska Dorward

I attended Trinity College as an undergraduate at the University of Toronto, graduating in 2012 as a Specialist in History. In 2014 I successfully attained a Master of Arts in Modern History from UofT.

In the past, I have worked for Magazines Canada, The National Magazine Awards, The Digital Publishing Awards, and The Canadian Business Media Awards. I am a former staff writer for the now defunct magazine Caledon Living, a former reporter for the London Publishing Corporation, Mackasey Howard Communications, In The Hills Magazine, and have contributed to various literary journals at the University of Toronto.

In 2013, I received the Student Engagement in the Arts Award from the University of Toronto for my work as Editor-in-Chief (2012) of The Hart House Review. I was subsequently the Senior Fiction Editor for the 2013 edition.

I am currently the Nunavut News Multimedia Journalist based out of the Iqaluit bureau (under the Local Journalism Initiative dedicated to Indigenous content), a freelance writer for Great Living Spaces and Lifestyles Magazine, and am working on my first novel.
