I have been working in the community newspaper business for nearly a decade, all of those years with Black Press Media. I started at the North Island Gazette as a reporter in 2015 and then was promoted to editor in 2017.

I was born and raised in Port Hardy. My family has lived in Port Hardy for more than 40 years. I graduated with a degree in Creative Writing & Journalism from Vancouver Island University in 2008.
