A new soup is simmering in downtown Victoria this spring as Kinton Ramen expects to open its latest location in May.
The restaurant that takes pride in serving authentic Japanese ramen is set to open at 813 Wharf St. with seating for 60 guests.
“We’re thrilled to bring Kinton Ramen to Victoria and introduce our signature dishes to a whole new audience,” area representative Jing Bao said in a news release. “Victoria’s vibrant food scene is the perfect fit for Kinton, and we can’t wait to share our love for ramen with the local community.”
Established in 2012, the Capital becomes Kinton’s seventh B.C. site, with five on the Lower Mainland and one in Kelowna. The Canadian franchise has more than 40 eateries nationwide and one in New York.
The Victoria location promises Kinton Ramen’s classic menu, including four signature ramen styles – original, shoyu, miso, and spicy – along with beef ramen. Guests will have the option to customize with thick, thin, or shirataki noodles, and enjoy traditional toppings like seasoned eggs, bamboo shoots, wood ear mushrooms, and nori.
