Employees at Victoria Aiport Authority can rest assured knowing they work for one of the best employers in B.C.

The airport proudly received the B.C.’s Top Employers for the fifth consecutive year, president and CEO Elizabeth M. Brown said in a press release.

“Being recognized as one of B.C.’s Top Employers is a direct reflection of the dedication and commitment of the entire VAA team. It is an honour and a source of pride for all of us to be again acknowledged as a top employer,” Brown said.

The annual competition, organized by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers, awards the prize based on eight categories: workplace, work atmosphere and social, health, financial and family benefits, vacation and time off, employee communications, performance management, training and skills development and community involvement.

Victoria Aiport Authority won the award because it encourages ongoing career advancement by providing tuition subsidies for courses at outside institutions with an option for employees to apply for an unpaid educational leave of absence for full-time, offers exceptional work-life balance with flexible work hours or hybrid working options and extensive retirement planning assistance services.

The competition is in its 19th year and is open to all employers in the private and public sectors.
