Attention, fellow thrifters. On Aug. 9 and 16 at 10 a.m., Thrive N Style is hosting a new thrift event called The Ultimate Thrift Hunt, and it's shaping up to be one for the books.
Take a break from puzzling escape rooms and shopping malls to participate in one of Victoria's most thrifty events of the summer.
Participants in the Ultimate Thrift Hunt will meet at Murchies in downtown Victoria before going on a journey through many curated thrift shop spots around town.
They will divide into teams and embark on a thrilling adventure, solving humorous challenges, deciphering clues, and racing their way to victory in style.
Just be warned: the event may cause symptoms of severe joy. If you are experiencing symptoms like high-five cravings, a feeling of friendly but intense contempt for your competitors, and the need to stuff a victory hot dog in your face, please don't panic!
Please bring a phone so you can participate in fun photo missions, a bottle of water to stay hydrated, and your best game attitude.
Another helpful tip is to wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. It will also help to wear an outfit that is easy to get in and out of, as there are no change rooms available where you will be shopping.
Additionally, it's essential to have something to eat before arriving, as this event is likely to be intense ans you'll need to keep your energy levels up.
