The Victoria Hospitals Foundation (VHF) is expressing its gratitude to the GAIN Group of Companies for rallying the Island community to unite in support of local hospitals.

In a remarkable demonstration of commitment, GAIN Group is doubling the impact of generosity by matching all donations, up to a total of $50,000, made to VHF’s “Imaging is Power” campaign before Dec. 31. This campaign, with a goal of $11 million, aims to fund the upgrade of six crucial pieces of medical imaging equipment at Royal Jubilee (RJH) and Victoria General (VGH) hospitals.

Launched in October, the “Imaging is Power” initiative is dedicated to enhancing three MRIs between RJH and VGH, procuring a new CT Scanner at VGH, a SPECT/CT Scanner at RJH, and a new C-Arm for the Heart Catheterization Lab at RJH. Both of these hospitals serve as referral sites for advanced care across Vancouver Island. The campaign has garnered immense support from over 3,200 individuals, nearing the $6 million milestone on its journey to achieving the $11 million goal.

GAIN Group of Companies aspires to inspire other businesses and individuals to join hands in bolstering Island healthcare. Their unwavering support for VHF includes a notable donation of $50,000 on Giving Tuesday in 2022, which funded a new patient monitor for the Intensive Care Unit at VGH. Additionally, they have consistently backed VHF’s annual galas through contributions to auctions and raffles.

VHF and GAIN Group of Companies extend a warm invitation to everyone to consider contributing to “Imaging is Power” before Dec. 31, knowing that their donations will be matched, doubling the impact of their generosity.
