Festival-goers can expect live performances, traditional Greek dishes as well as fresh beverages.

Greek Fest is back for its 24th year, bringing food, music and culture to Saanich over two weekends, from Aug. 22 to 24 and Aug. 29 to Sept. 1.

Festival-goers can expect live performances, traditional Greek dishes such as roasted lamb, souvlaki, spanakopita, baklava and loukoumades, as well as beverages from sponsors Hoyne Brewery and Arterra Wines. Both dine-in and takeout options are available, including online ordering at greekfest.ca.

The admission-free event will run from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Greek Community Centre (4648 Elk Lake Dr.), beside Commonwealth Place.

The event also features the Greek Heritage Museum, offering daily tours at 2 and 6 p.m. led by a local historian, and the AGORA market with Greek arts, crafts and take-home foods.
