The District of Saanich is holding a contest to come up with a name for their new bike lane sweeper.
Ahead of National Public Works Week, the district announced the Name That Sweeper contest for the minuscule sweeper.
“Help us properly welcome this mini sweeper to the fleet by submitting your best name idea through Saanich’s public participation platform, HelloSaanich,” noted an email from the district.
Public works staff will review submissions and select the top five names for public voting on HelloSaanich during National Public works week from May 19 to 25. The winning name will be announced on the districts social media channels on May 27.
