Charlotte wins the mayor and council holiday card design contest

The results are in.

Saanich Mayor Dean Murdock has crowned the winner of the district’s holiday card design contest.

Grade 4 student Charlotte from Saanich was chosen from more than 70 entries submitted.

“Charlotte’s magical snow globe design really captured our attention. It was bright and beautiful artwork that we’re so pleased to feature on our holiday cards this year,” Murdock said.

Charlotte will receive a prize for her efforts, in addition to a signed holiday card from the mayor. The district will also feature her design in a coming holiday social media post.

“Thank you to everyone who took the time to share their work with us, and to the parents and caregivers who helped submit their entries,” said Murdock. “We plan to make this contest an annual tradition, and we look forward to seeing all the creative submissions again next year.”
