A night at the market will go a long way to improving the lives of your neighbours in the community.
Thursday's Quadra Night Market (Aug. 14) will feature a range of local vendors, an online 50/50 raffle draw, a curated clothing thrift section with donations from second-hand and vintage stores around town, food from Greek n’ Go and Hazel’s Ice Cream, lawn games, and more.
And apart from being a great place to pick up some shopping finds, proceeds from the event will be split between Mental Health Recovery Partners South Island (MHRP SI) and the Quadra Village Community Centre.
“Both Mental Health Recovery Partners South Island and the Quadra Village Community Centre offer amazing, accessible programs that include support for mental health, food distribution, youth and family services, and so much more," said Zoë Newson with MHRP SI. "Fundraising events like the Quadra Night Market help us to keep these programs funded so we can continue to make a difference in the lives of many – all while connecting with our community in a fun and engaging way.”
The Quadra Night Market runs from 3-8 p.m. Aug. 14 on the field at 950 Kings Rd. There is a suggested admission fee of $5, with non-perishable food donations also welcome. There are no admission fees for those ages 16 and under.
