Saanich horticulture centre opens its gardens to art, music and guests

The Horticulture Centre of the Pacific – known for connecting people and plants year-round – hosts its 28th annual Arts and Music in the Gardens festival on Aug. 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The gardens spanning nine square acres of botanical gardens hosts more than 30 local vendors with music on three stages, the event includes family activities, food trucks and naturally, flowers and plant fun.

Admission is $12 per person for non-members, with Horticultural centre of the Pacific members and anyone under 16 free of charge. Proceeds go toward maintaining the gardens as a centre for education, conservation, and cultivation in the community. The event is the non-profit’s largest fundraiser of the year.
