Crab Fest: Crabben in the Park is an event not to be missed if you love seafood.

On Saturday, July 15, Banfield Park in Victoria West will host a festival in honour of community, sustainability and dungeness crab caught in the area.

Crabben in the Park is the brainchild of Heather MacLeod, a pioneer in Victoria’s wellness movement, and Jennifer Gidora, a well-known figure in the fish sector. MacLeod provides her enthusiasm for local events and B.C. dungeness crab, while Gidora brings her knowledge of where to find the best crab. The event is hosted by Crabben to benefit the Vic West Community Association.

There will be live music, games for the whole family and a festive atmosphere to go along with the steaming hot buckets of dungeness crab that will be served during the event. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the delectable crab dishes and help the Vic West Community Association by making a voluntary donation.

“We are incredibly excited to bring Crabben in the Park to Victoria,” said Gidora. “This event is meant to be a memorable gathering of friends and neighbours.”
