UVic theatre hosting open house
The University of Victoria is opening its doors to prospective students Saturday (Jan. 29) from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Phoenix Building.
High school students and others dreaming of studying various aspects of stage performance are invited to an information session to find out more about building a career in theatre.
Included in the day’s activities will be a rehearsal scene by members of Phoenix Theatre of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, and conversations with faculty, staff and students over a pizza lunch.

Flamenco fans in for a treat
Victoria’s Flamenco de la Isla Society presents a Flamenco Tablao with Alma de España this Sunday (Jan. 30) at the Church of Truth, 111 Superior St.
The performance gets underway at 8 p.m.
Tickets are $18 each or $15 for society members, available by calling 250-384-8832, or at the door.

Art gallery lab explores rabbits
New York-based multimedia artist Tegan Forbes is telling personal stories of connections to the rabbits at the University of Victoria.
The Lab: 250 Remix, photographically explores the urban tension around the issue and is her first exhibition at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria.
It runs now through April 3 at the gallery, 1040 Moss St.
