Attendees of this weekend’s Ballet Victoria Spring Soirée fundraiser will be treated to a sneak peek of some of the dance creations in the works for the upcoming 16th season.
At the event, being held at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 28 at Riffington Manor in the Uplands, guests can enjoy hors d’oeuvres, refreshments, a live auction and entertainment, making it an evening to remember.
Among the auction items up for bidding are a round trip for two to Vancouver via Helijet, with one night’s accommodation at the Westin Grand Hotel; a Winter Storm Watching or Spring Season Getaway for two at the Wickaninnish Inn at Tofino with the use of a Lexus vehicle for three days; a Cowichan Valley Wine Tour donated by LA Limousines, and a three-course chef-prepared served dinner for six by Toque Catering, with wine pairing from Sandhill Wines.

Tickets for the fundraiser are $100 and are available by emailing springsoiree@balletvictoria.ca, purchasing online at balletvictoria.ca, or by calling the Ballet Victoria office at 250-380-6063.

Peter Pan winds up 15th season next month
As a season finale May 18 and 19, Ballet Victoria presents an updated take on Peter Pan, which was the company’s first-ever performance. Artistic and executive director Paul Destrooper has choreographed a new version with a contemporary twist on J.M. Barrie’s take of the fearless boy who refuses to grow up.
