Bill Bourne is a Juno Award-winning blues and roots musician who will be gracing the stage at Upstairs Lounge this Friday night. Bill’s music is known for its powerful rhythms and soulful songs, steeped in blues, world beat, Cajun, Celtic, folk, Latin, funk, poetry and more. He has received international acclaim for his recordings and live performances.
While he began his professional music career in 1975, he has been surrounded by music all his life. Growing up in a musical family, he could often be found sleeping behind the piano at country dances when he was a little boy. He has gone on to attain award status in Canada for his many collaborations with other artists, as well as for his own solo projects.
