Victoria’s Paper Street Theatre is set to bring the magic of improvised stories and songs back to the stage this holiday season with The Piano Man, returning by popular demand.
The show transforms the venue’s stage into a smoke-filled piano bar for an evening of music and storytelling.
“This show does what Paper Street does best: create heartfelt and bittersweet stories that break your heart and delight you at the same time,” said Dave Morris, the company’s artistic director.
Now in its 13th season, Paper Street Theatre is known for its unique approach to improvisation, creating performances that feel like traditional theatre. The award-winning Victoria-based company has explored genres ranging from Jane Austen to Grimm Fairytales to Quentin Tarantino.
The Piano Man returns to the Intrepid Theatre Club (1609 Blanshard St.) from Dec. 11 to 14, with performances starting at 8 p.m.
