Rob Teszka’s magic-comedy show I Hate Magic will be performed for one night in Saanich on Oct. 16 at Berwick Royal Oak.

Following his previous show Magic Dropout in Vancouver, Teszka’s new performance explores why some people dislike magic. Through humour and personal insight, Teszka presents a collection of tricks that he dislikes, taking a light-hearted look at the clichés and tropes of the magic world.

The show premiered at the Montreal Fringe Festival in 2024. Teszka, who has been performing magic for over two decades, delivers a comedic take on the art of deception while engaging the audience with interactive elements.

The performance will begin at 7 p.m. at the Berwick Royal Oak Retirement Community, located at 4680 Elk Lake Dr. Parental guidance is suggested for children under 14. Tickets are available for $20 on Eventbrite at https://bit.ly/IHM_VIC.

Guests are encouraged to park at the nearby Our Lady of Fatima church.
