As the nights draw in, A Cozy Queer Affair is inviting the LGBT+ community and friends to celebrate Pride at a new inclusive fall festival, which will offer a chilled-out and relaxed environment.
"While summer Pride celebrations are essential, the bustling crowds and bright lights can be overwhelming for some," said the Alter Arts Society and The Out There Art Festival, the team behind the event, in a news release.
As a celebration of queer joy and artistry, musicians, artists and storytellers, will all perform in a comfy, accessible, low-stimulation setting.
Friends, allies and families can gather, relax and connect at the free, all-ages art festival on Saturday, Nov. 9 and Sunday, Nov. 10 at Oaklands Community Centre.
Events on Nov. 9 run from noon to 10 p.m., including live acoustic performances, a drag story hour, art workshops and a community dinner at 5.30 p.m. The day will be rounded off with downtempo DJs and an outdoor fire show.
For Nov. 10, the relaxed vibe continues from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with more live performances and art workshops.
