Canadian songwriter and three-time Juno nominee Ria Mae will take the stage in support of Community Living Victoria on Friday, Nov. 15 at the McPherson Playhouse.

The 15th Concert for Hope. Help. Home. is a fundraiser for Community Living Victoria (CLV), the largest non-profit community living service provider on Vancouver Island. Championing for children, youth and adults with intellectual disabilities and their families, CLV provides a range of support services including, access to education, affordable and appropriate housing, gainful employment and more.

“Community Living Victoria changes people’s lives, providing people with intellectual disabilities and their families the tools and skills they need to lead full and vibrant lives," Mae said in a press release. "I am thrilled to return to Victoria to celebrate them and help Community Living Victoria achieve their goals.”

With songs streamed over 70 million times worldwide, Mae has climbed the radio charts in Canada with platinum-certified singles Clothes Off, Ooh Love, Too Close and Bend. She's toured with Tegan & Sara, Dido, Scott Helman and performed with k.d. lang, Melissa Etheridge, Xavier Rudd, and many more.

A proud member of the LGBTQ2S+ community, Mae was recently nominated for a Queerty Award for Best New Artist by Queerty Media.

“It has been a joy to watch Ria Mae soar and we are thrilled to have her share her magic once again on stage in support of CLV,” said Mike Jensen, executive director of CLV.

Mae previously performed at the 2019 Concert for Hope. Help. Home., one of 14 concerts since 2007 that have collectively raised almost $800,000 for CLV.

Tickets for the show, which starts at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 15, range from $64 to $105 and can be purchased at rmts.bc.ca.
