It was a hot stage in Victoria with big names flocking to town for the opening weekend of Rifflandia.
One of Victoria’s largest music festivals, the annual event features two weekends of entertainment this year. After a four-year hiatus, the festival returned last year and drew some of the largest audiences since it was established in 2008.
The festival kicked off Sept. 7 to 9 with its Electric Avenue location, downtown in the Arts and Innovation District on Pembroke Street. Some of the much-anticipated performers included Chris Lake, Paris Hilton, A-Trak, Run The Jewels, and Chromeo.
The festival continues Sept. 15 to 17 at Royal Athletic Park with big names such as Iggy Pop, Diplo, Salt-N-Pepa, and Stephen Marley (the son of reggae legend Bob Marley).
A late addition to the lineup will see former Spice Girl Melanie C hit the stage on Sunday, Sept. 17, at Royal Athletic Park.
