A few minutes before 10 a.m., over fifty families waited anxiously at the gates of Beacon Hill Children’s Zoo.
“Be patient little buddy,” a father was overheard saying to his son. “It’s open in two minutes but that probably seems like two hours for you.”
At precisely 10 a.m., the doors swung open and countless children streamed through to see the goat stampede, the zoo’s flagship event.
Twice per day, at 10:10 a.m. and 4:10 p.m., the goats gallop pass the human barricades to the feeding pens. This stampede was the first run for some tiny male triplets.
Beacon Hill Children’s Zoo is open everyday, and admission is by donation.
