The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour celebrates the spirit of the great outdoors on the big screen.

The Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour is set to deliver an "unforgettable cinematic adventure" to the South Island.

On Sunday, Jan 26, the Vancouver Island section of the Alpine Club of Canada will showcase some of the festival's most inspiring films of the year at UVic's Farquhar Auditorium.

"Experience breathtaking journeys, daring expeditions and extraordinary feats set in awe-inspiring landscapes and untouched wilderness, capturing stories of human resilience that push the limits of what’s possible. Don’t miss this chance to immerse yourself in the beauty, thrill, and spirit of the great outdoors," noted the UVic website.

The event starts at 6:30 p.m. and runs approximately 2 hours 30 minutes. Tickets start at $32.50 and are available at tickets.uvic.ca.
