As temperatures hit 29 C across Greater Victoria today, those hoping to cool off at Bazan Bay Beach have been advised to swim elsewhere.

On the morning of Aug. 11, Island Health issued a beach advisory there for unsatisfactory bacteriological water-test results.

These tests showed Enterococci levels – a bacteriological indicator of fecal contamination – have been high at the North Saanich beach since Aug. 6.
