The U.S.-based fast-casual chain, known for its build-your-own burritos, tacos and bowls, will open at Westshore Town Centre this fall – its second confirmed expansion in Greater Victoria this year.
The new Langford location will take over a roughly 2,500-square-foot spot between Romeo’s and Shake It Bubble Tea on the exterior of the mall.
It will join the city’s first Chipotle, which opened downtown at 1070 Douglas St. in July of 2024, and another planned location at University Heights in Saanich.
Right now, the Douglas Street restaurant is the only Chipotle on Vancouver Island.
Across B.C., there are 19 locations, while worldwide, the chain operates more than 3,700.
Chipotle reported $3.1 billion in revenue for the second quarter of 2025 – a 3 per cent increase over the same period last year.
“We’re thrilled to have Chipotle opening at Westshore Town Centre this fall,” says Layla Vera, director, retail leasing, QuadReal Property Group. “They’ll be a great addition to our already varied line-up of delicious restaurants and expect them to be quite popular.”
The Westshore Town Centre restaurant will be moving into a competitive neighbourhood for Mexican-inspired food, with Tacofino and Mucho Burrito both within walking distance.
Chipotle’s arrival comes on the heels of another major addition to the Langford-based mall. FreshCo, a discount grocery chain, is slated to open there in early 2026.
