Driver fails to stop after cyclist collision, Saanich police seek witnesses

Saanich police are appealing for help to identify a driver of a vehicle who failed to stop after colliding with a cyclist.

The incident took place Sunday, June 22, just before 6 p.m., says a police news release.

A cyclist heading eastbound on McKenzie Avenue collided with a southbound red vehicle, believed to be a Ford Escape, which turned left off McKenzie onto Blenkinsop Road, failing to stay at the scene.

Police say the cyclist suffered significant but not life-threatening injuries.
