The Victoria Fire Department was called to a fire at Mayfair Mall on Wednesday (Jan. 17).
The department attended the mall at 8:40 p.m., with Engine 3 and Captain Peter Ooms, who quickly upgraded it to a working fire, who determined more help was needed.
The blaze was located deep within the mall at Polished Perfect Nail Salon, and fire crews were directed to the location by Mayfair Mall security.
Engine 2, Rescue 1, Ladder 1, Battalion 1 and Engine 1 were dispatched and worked for over two hours to contain the fire to a single unit.
