Royal Roads University was awash with colour as students celebrated the Hindu festival Holi, marking the beginning of spring.
Armed with dry colour powders, participants took part in ‘Holi play’, throwing or smearing the dry paint over each other, creating walking, talking pieces of multi-coloured art.
“Holi symbolizes the exuberance of life, the arrival of spring and the triumph of good over evil,” said the student engagement team, who organized the event. “It represents unity, forgiveness, and the breaking down of social barriers, where vibrant colours turn everyone into one joyful community.”
The event also featured music, dance and games.
