Police are investigating a suspected homicide over the weekend in a residential unit on Gorge Road East.
On Saturday, April 26 at around 10 a.m., VicPD received calls concerning a unit in the 200-block of Gorge Road East where first responders located a deceased man.
Police say they classified the incident as a suspicious death, and Forensic Investigation Services and Major Crimes investigators secured the scene and gathered evidence. The Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit has now assumed jurisdiction of the file.
It is believed to have been an isolated incident, and police say there is no risk to the public.
Police say the investigation is ongoing, and further details cannot be shared at this time.
