A galaxy far, far away will be represented in Langford as Mandalorian star Emily Swallow is set to appear at FanCon.
Swallow is famous for her roles as the Armorer and has appeared in both the Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett.
Bringing her to Langford secures another big name for the convention, said Island FanCon founder Lonnie Eckardt.
“Emily joining our line-up of guests for Island FanCon further cements our commitment to pop culture pedigree,” said Eckardt, “The Star Wars universe is very much a multi-generational fandom and we are so excited to have that element included for our first year.”
Swallow’s most famous line, “This is the way,” has spawned countless memes, but Lightsabers and Baby Yoda aren’t the only things she is known for.
She has also had recurring roles in Supernatural and was the voice of Lisa Tepes on Netflix’s cartoon version of Castlevania.
The Mandalorian star joins Game of Thrones star Hafthor Julius Bjornsson appearing at the convention April 13 and 14.
