A woman faces charges after the multi-jurisdictional rundown of a person using a debit card stolen in Oak Bay.

Police were at the Oak Bay Recreation Centre Sept. 8, investigating a report of items stolen from lockers, when one person tracked her debit card in use at a nearby business, the department said in a news release.

Officers went to the business and gathered a description of the person who had used the card and that the person had left in a taxi. Police and E-COMM dispatchers worked with the taxi company and Victoria Police Department to intercept the cab and arrest a suspect. Police say she was in possession of identification and property stolen from multiple people.

Morgan Blanch, 38, faces two counts of theft under $5,000 and one count of using a stolen credit card.
