VicPD seized drugs, cash, and weapons after stopping a vehicle linked to a reckless driving incident in Victoria on Saturday afternoon.
Both Victoria and Saanich police received a report on March 16 afternoon about a grey BMW X5 speeding and driving into oncoming traffic near Cadboro Bay and Sinclair Roads in Saanich.
Officers later located the vehicle at Gorge Road East and Bridge Street in Victoria and conducted a traffic stop. The driver and a passenger were inside.
Police say one of the occupants is believed to have ties to a suspected gang. Both occupants of the vehicle were male and residents of the Greater Victoria area VicPD told Victoria News.

A safety search of the vehicle led to the seizure of a prohibited knife, a large amount of cash, a canister of suspected hydromorphone pills, and bear spray. Officers also confiscated a small amount of dried cannabis, tobacco, and a significant quantity of nicotine pouches, along with the BMW X5.
VicPD told Victoria News that no arrests were made as the investigation into the prohibited weapon and the nature of the seized items continues.
