The Saanich Police Department say they have identified and arrested a woman who was driving an SUV that was involved in a hit-and-run that "seriously injured" a seven-year-old child.
The incident took place at the Burnside Road entrance to Tillicum Mall just after noon on Friday (Nov. 22). The vehicle was leaving the mall parking lot when it struck the child, seriously injuring their leg, according to a news release.
Police are still asking witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage or information to contact the Saanich Police Department at 250-475-4321.
