Vehicle crashes through Victoria home

Police say no one in the house was injured

A multiple-vehicle crash led to a house being struck by one of the vehicles involved at Shelbourne and Bay streets on Sept. 24.

Damage to the house and the property’s fence could be seen on Tuesday afternoon but police on scene said nobody residing in the home was injured.

The intersection at Shelbourne and Bay was fully shut down and police also had closed a block around the crash in several directions. The area was reopened just before 4:30 p.m. as several onlookers were still taking in the damage to the house and to one of the vehicles as it was being towed away from the scene.

Some side streets and Richmond Road saw extremely slow-moving traffic as cars were directed away from the area by VicPD officers during the afternoon commute.

VicPd says they received a call before 1 p.m. regarding a single-vehicle incident, but they can not share any more details as the investigation is ongoing.
