West Shore RCMP are seeking public assistance to identify suspects in a recent robbery on the E&N Rail Trail.
The robbery was reported to West Shore RCMP on March 24 and took place on March 19 between noon and 1 p.m. on a segment of the trail between Peatt Road and Veterans Memorial Parkway, behind Darcy’s Pub at 737 Goldstream Ave.
While walking along the trail, the victim – described as an adult male – was approached by three male suspects who allegedly physically assaulted him. One of the suspects is also alleged to have brandished a knife before robbing the man of personal belongings, including a backpack.
Police are canvassing the area for CCTV footage and will release photos of the suspects if they become available.
The first suspect is described as a Caucasian male, 6' and weighing 180-200 lbs. He was said to have curly light brown hair with a scruffy moustache and beard. He was wearing a brown jacket, black sweater and blue jeans.
The second suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his early 20s, 5'8", wearing all black and a black baseball cap with the letters 'LA' written on it.
Suspect three is described as a Caucasian male in his 30s, 5'8", with a small goatee, and wearing a sweater with the words 'Crooks and Castles,' written on it, along with steel-toed boots and blue jeans.
"Police are continuing to investigate this robbery which was reported to West Shore RCMP on March 24. If you have any information regarding this crime or can identify who the suspects are, please contact the West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264," Said Cpl. Nancy Saggar in a news release.
